The Ontech Shop difference
Shipping terms & conditions
A detailed overview of how delivery works, including order preparation, delivery charges and what to do if a parcel does not arrive as expected.
1. Delivery destinations and availability
Ontech Shop serves the countries and postcodes listed in the ordering process. A destination is eligible only when it is expressly offered there; references to Europe elsewhere on the shop do not confirm service to every European country.
Restrictions for remote areas, parcel lockers, PO boxes or particular products are stated before purchase. Battery-powered items and other regulated goods may require specific services or be unavailable for some destinations.
2. Delivery methods, charges and promotions
Available services and their total charges are shown before you commit to payment. Costs depend on the address, parcel size or weight, selected service and items ordered.
The shop advertises free delivery over €50 and collection within 60 minutes. Eligible destinations, order-value calculation, product exclusions and collection locations are published with each offer.
Any extra charges for a special service or agreed re-delivery require a clear, lawful basis and are not introduced as an undisclosed unavoidable fee.
3. Order preparation and dispatch
Preparation time is the period needed to confirm and pack an order; transit time starts once the carrier receives it. The checkout makes clear whether a quoted estimate includes both stages.
Dispatch schedules, cut-off times, treatment of weekends and holidays, and arrangements for pre-orders or stock delays are stated in the ordering process. No same-day dispatch promise is inferred from the website.
Where an order contains items with different availability, any proposed split shipment and its effect on charges and timing are explained. An additional delivery fee is not imposed without agreement.
4. Delivery estimates and delays
Delivery estimates are provided before purchase. A guaranteed delivery date, if offered, is identified separately from an estimate. If circumstances change materially, you receive updated information and the options available under the contract and law.
Where EU consumer rules apply, goods generally must be delivered within 30 days unless another delivery period was agreed. If the agreed or statutory period is missed, the consumer may generally require delivery within an appropriate additional period and terminate if it is still not made. In some cases, such as an essential agreed date or refusal to deliver, an additional period is not required.
Carrier disruption does not automatically remove legal cancellation or reimbursement rights. Tell us about a delay through the contact page and we report progress and the options available.
5. Tracking and delivery information
Tracking availability depends on the service chosen. Where tracking is provided, the dispatch information identifies the carrier and tracking reference.
Provide a complete address and reachable contact details and check them before confirming an order. If a correction is needed, notify Ontech Shop through the contact page as soon as possible. A change may not be possible once a parcel is in transit.
Only choose a nominated recipient or safe-place instruction you are comfortable with. Carrier instructions should be read carefully, and the legal effect of delivery arrangements depends on the circumstances.
6. Missed attempts and returned parcels
The carrier may provide instructions for a repeat attempt, collection point or delivery rescheduling. The number of attempts, collection period and procedure depend on the selected service.
If a parcel is returned because an address cannot be located or delivery is not completed, the order status and available options are explained. Any proposed re-delivery cost or deduction is assessed under the agreed terms and applicable law; it is not automatically payable in every case.
7. Damaged, incomplete or incorrect deliveries
If a parcel or item is damaged, keep the packaging and note the condition as soon as practical. If possible, photograph the packaging, label and affected product. Check that all expected items are present.
- Provide your order reference, the affected product and a clear description of the issue through the contact page.
- If safe and possible, retain damaged goods for assessment and wait for return instructions before sending anything back.
- Never use an item that appears unsafe, particularly a damaged battery or power supply.
- Prompt reporting helps an investigation, but an arbitrary short reporting deadline, missing photo or an unannotated delivery signature does not automatically extinguish statutory rights.
8. Missing parcels and responsibility in transit
If tracking stops, delivery is overdue or a parcel marked delivered cannot be found, check the delivery details and any nominated recipient, then contact Ontech Shop. The carrier investigation is handled by Ontech Shop; customers are not asked to resolve a seller’s delivery obligation with the carrier themselves.
Under EU consumer rules, responsibility for loss or damage generally remains with the seller until you, or your nominated recipient other than the carrier, obtains physical possession. A specific exception may apply if you independently commission a carrier not offered by the seller.
A carrier’s delivered scan is evidence to investigate, not an automatic rejection of a missing-parcel claim. Remedies depend on the facts and applicable law.
9. Cross-border charges and digital products
If international shipments involving customs are offered, Ontech Shop explains import arrangements and any relevant charges before purchase. Eligible countries and responsibility for duties are stated with the offer; this policy does not transfer every cross-border cost to the customer.
Digital downloads and electronic licences do not involve a physical parcel. Their delivery, activation and cancellation conditions are shown separately on the relevant product and ordering pages.
10. Changing or cancelling an order
A change request may be harder to fulfil after packing or carrier handover, but dispatch does not automatically end a statutory withdrawal right. The sales and returns terms explain how to give valid cancellation notice and how a dispatched item is returned.
The contact page lists the available channels. Do not use the enquiry forms to notify a time-sensitive order change; they do not send messages yet.
